Important Safety Information for BenzaClin®
BenzaClin® is an acne product you can get with a doctor's prescription. It is for topical use only. Do not use with other topical acne products unless directed by your doctor. Side effects are usually limited to the skin and include dry skin, itching, peeling, redness and sunburn.

Side effects of BenzaClin®
Clindamycin, an ingredient in BenzaClin®, may cause diarrhea. You should not use BenzaClin® if you have a history of Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, or antibiotic-associated colitis. Clindamycin taken orally or through IV has been associated with severe colitis, which may result in death. If you experience severe diarrhea, stop using BenzaClin® and call your doctor immediately. You should not use BenzaClin® if you are allergic to clindamycin, benzoyl peroxide, or the antibiotic lincomycin.
If you develop allergic symptoms such as severe swelling or shortness of breath, you should discontinue BenzaClin® and contact your doctor immediately. Side effects are usually limited to the skin and include dry skin, itching, peeling, redness and sunburn. If you experience more severe side effects, call your doctor.
You should report any signs of side effects to your physician.
Keep these important tips in mind when using BenzaClin®
BenzaClin® is to be used as directed by your doctor. It is for external use only. Avoid contact with eyes, and inside the nose, mouth, and all mucous membranes, as this product may be irritating.
This medication should not be used for any disorder other than that for which it was prescribed.
Do not use any other topical acne preparation unless otherwise directed by your doctor.
While using BenzaClin®, minimize or avoid exposure to natural or artificial sunlight (tanning beds or UVA/B treatment). To minimize exposure to sunlight, a wide-brimmed hat or other protective clothing should be worn, and a sunscreen with SPF 15 rating or higher should be used.
BenzaClin® may bleach hair or colored fabric.
